In a ceremony at MSU's Wharton Center, along Jonas Becker was invested as the 2022 Jerry Cowen Endowed Chair of Experimental Physics. Congratulations also go to his fellow honoree and colleague Tyler Cocker (Cowen Chair 2019).
Jerry Cowen was a professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at MSU - a position held until weeks before his death in 1999. The endowed chair was created by his son, Randy Cowen, in memory of his father.
